The America Invents Act (AIA) has been passed and signed into law. This represents a shift from the first to invent to a first to file patent system. Furthermore, 35 U.S.C. 102 has been cleaned up and the obtuse wording of the previous law simplified. Please feel free to leave comments regarding the AIA or other aspects of patent law on the Patent Blog.
